How account deletion works.
Delete from the BuddyOnTrip app
1. Open the BuddyOnTrip app. 2. Sign in to your account. 3. Go to Profile / Settings. 4. Go to Privacy & Security. 5. Select Delete Account. 6. Confirm the deletion request.
15-day deletion period
After you confirm the deletion request, your account will be retained for 15 days before it is permanently deleted. During this 15-day period, you can cancel the deletion request and retain your account. If you do not cancel the request, your account and all associated data will be permanently erased at the end of the 15-day period.
If you cannot access the app
Request account deletion by emailing hello@buddyontrip.com from the email address associated with your BuddyOnTrip account. This helps us verify that the request belongs to you.
Data that will be deleted
At the end of the 15-day period, your account and all associated data will be permanently erased, including your profile information, account-related data, shared-trip data, and transaction data.
Data retention
No account or associated data will be retained after the 15-day period. Once permanently erased, the account and its data cannot be recovered. For questions about account deletion or privacy, contact hello@buddyontrip.com.
